Around 14,000 runners took part in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon
The 2024 marathon, organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All with support from Leeds City Council, the marathon raised funds for a string of good causes, including the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and a Leeds Hospitals Charity appeal to build a Rob Burrow Centre for MND, kicked off at Headingley Stadium.
Kevin Sinfield, who ran seven ultramarathons in seven days in seven cities in early December, has raised more than £15m since his friend was diagnosed MND in December 2019.
Sinfield achievements have been documented in the new film, 7in7in7: The Inside Story.
Sinfield said in video posted by the MND Association: “We can’t thank people enough, the volunteers, people who have helped create this today, every single runner who has put that hard work in and then those on the streets who have helped make it such a special day again.”

Lois said: “I really enjoyed the half this year, although it was really hot I managed to shave 5 mins off last year’s time.”
Justin smashed the Half Marathon with a time of 1:38.
Many friends and family of staff also ran, with Romero and Club Insure members cheering from the crowd.
